Rapid Reemployment Initiative

As our economy faces one of the greatest restructuring chapters of all time, workforce agencies need to share timely information, unlimited by geographic boundaries, on trends giving insight into the best ways to prepare the workforce for tomorrow’s “new economy” while simultaneously meeting the immediate challenge of providing a nexus for connecting dislocated workers with new and emerging job opportunities. Rapid Reemployment Initiative is the result of a unique alliance between state, national and nonprofit workforce agencies formed to develop an innovative framework for addressing these challenges. This virtual labor exchange provides this key information and a digital forum bringing together job seekers, employers seeking to hire, downsizing employers and workforce development professionals. Through Rapid Reemployment Initiative many of the steps and procedures for connecting various workforce systems are eliminated and a more targeted approach is available to assist today’s dislocated workers to transition into tomorrow’s good jobs.
